As part of the celebration of the XVII Pan American Games in Toronto, the exhibit “Shared Spaces: Art of the Americas” opened July 11 in the Joseph D. Carrier Gallery, featuring the works of more than 20 Latin American painters.
Cuba is represented in the exhibition by two emblematic paintings by the young Michel Mirabal, one of the most renowned Cuban artists of his generation.
The exhibit will run until July 20 and is one of the many cultural events taking place alongside the Pan American Games to celebrate the unity and diversity of the Americas.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Members of the Parliament of Canada, Members of the Provincial Parliament of Ontario and Toronto city officials, as well as the ambassadors of Cuba, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Guatemala, among other members of the diplomatic corps in Canada.
